I am writing this letter to appeal to all of you that truly desire Texas independence. I am writing to those of you that watch the news every day and feel that you want to, and can, do more. I think we all recognize that we are living in a critical moment of human history. I wonder if the Founding Fathers really understood the meaning of the times they lived in.

I wonder if the men in the Alamo understood how their moment of sacrifice would lead to a tradition of courage and bravery for a new nation. My friends, this is one of those moments. These are the times that will shape history, and you can be a part of it!

If you are sick and tired of feeling ineffective and are ready to do more, then I invite you to get involved in a leadership position. If you do not want to be so publicly involved, then volunteer to help in other ways. We have many opportunities for service available. You can be a part of this historical event and tell your children and grandchildren how you aided in bringing about secession for Texas, and in turn secured their liberty.
